Kohleria tubiflora

"A perfect plant to attract hummingbirds."

Kohleria tubiflora also known as the Tube-flowered Kohleria is a beautiful and unique flowering plant that is native to South America. This tropical plant belongs to the Gesneriaceae family which also includes other popular indoor plants such as African Violets and Gloxinias.

One of the most striking features of the Kohleria tubiflora is its tube-shaped flowers. These flowers are typically orange, red or yellow and can grow up to three inches long. The flowers grow in clusters and bloom throughout the year making this plant an excellent addition to any indoor garden.

The Kohleria tubiflora is a relatively easy plant to care for. It prefers bright, indirect sunlight and well-draining soil. It should be watered regularly but not over-watered as the plant is susceptible to root rot. This plant also benefits from being fertilised every two to four weeks during the growing season.

One of the unique aspects of the Kohleria tubiflora is that it attracts hummingbirds. The bright colours and tube-shaped flowers of the plant are ideal for these birds to feed on.
